Grendel Group

Gathering, Growing, Giving

Grendel Group is a registered charity and operate with a Board of Directors, an Executive Director and programming staff. See below for an up-to-date list of directors and staff.

Grendel Group is explicit about its goal of encouraging representation of parents, family members and/or related persons of program participants on the Board of Directors. Families and loved ones not only bring insight into living with, working with and teaching adults with disabilities, but they also offer invaluable insight into the politics and policies surrounding advocating for the participant in the community and with the broader institutional frameworks that shape participants’ lives.

With this in mind, we encourage people who have family members with developmental disabilities to be active within the organization and to join our Board of Directors. Given that it's often difficult to know where "advocacy" ends and "conflict of interest" begins, we have developed a comprehensive "Conflict of Interest" Policy that we are happy to share on request (just send us an email!). Similarly, if you'd like to become more involved in the organization - either as a board member or volunteer - please reach out.
